About this policy

This policy covers the Missed Call Text-Back service operated by Elevate Your Biz Inc. (“EYB”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It explains what information the SMS service collects and how it is used. It is separate from our general website privacy policy.

How the service works

Local service businesses use our system on their own phone line. When someone calls the business and the call is not answered, the system sends that caller a text message on the business's behalf to help them describe what they need and book an appointment. Messages are only ever sent to a person who has just called the business.

What we collect

Through this SMS service we collect only:

• Your mobile phone number, captured when you place a call to the business.
• The contents of the text conversation you have with the business (for example, the service you need, your general location, and preferred timing).
• Basic message metadata such as timestamps and delivery status.

We do not collect health information, financial account numbers, or government identifiers through this service.

How we use it

Your information is used for one purpose: to help the business you called respond to you and book your job. It is not used for marketing, advertising, or profiling.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or the contents of your messages with third parties, and we do not use them for marketing purposes. Your information is shared only with the business you called, so they can serve you.

To deliver text messages we use Twilio, a messaging provider that acts as our service provider and processes messages on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments. No mobile information is shared with any party for their own marketing or promotional use.

Opting out

You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive no further messages from that business through this service. Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at Louis@elevateyourbiz.ca. Message and data rates may apply.

Data retention

We keep message records only as long as needed to serve the caller and for the business's reasonable record-keeping, and then delete them. Opt-out records are kept as long as needed to honour your request not to be contacted.

Your rights and Canadian law

We operate under the laws of Ontario, Canada, and comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you by emailing Louis@elevateyourbiz.ca. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its last-updated date.
