About this policy

This is the general privacy policy for elevateyourbiz.ca, the website of Elevate Your Biz Inc. (“EYB”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. We help local trades and service businesses in Durham Region get and keep more customers.

It covers information collected through this website. Our Missed Call Text-Back SMS service is covered by its own policy. See Missed Call Text-Back Privacy Policy.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic technical data generated when you visit the site.

• Inquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, and any details you choose to include about your business or what you need.
• Booking a call: when you book a call with us, you provide your name, email address, and any details you add to the booking. Booking is handled by Google Calendar scheduling, which collects that information under Google's own privacy policy.
• Automatically collected data: standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate region. This tells us how people use the site; it is not used to identify you personally.

We do not collect health information, financial account numbers, or government identifiers through this website.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, to schedule and prepare for a call you requested, to provide the services you ask for, to improve the website, and to meet our legal obligations. If you gave us your email in order to receive something specific, we use it for that and for related follow-up, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and collects standard usage data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, also provides us with aggregate traffic and performance measurement.

We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting, or ad networks, and we do not sell your information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. The site works either way.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we use to actually run the business, and only so they can perform that service for us:

• Vercel hosts this website and provides traffic and performance analytics.
• Google provides Google Analytics, and handles call bookings through Google Calendar scheduling.
• Notion is where inquiry and form submissions are stored so we can respond to them.
• Twilio delivers text messages for our Missed Call Text-Back service. See the Missed Call Text-Back Privacy Policy for how that service handles information.

These providers may store or process data outside Canada, which means it can be subject to the laws of the country where it is held. We may also disclose information if we are required to by law.

Text messaging

Our Missed Call Text-Back service has its own privacy policy and terms, because it handles a different kind of information for a different purpose. Nothing collected through that service is sold or shared for marketing. See the Missed Call Text-Back Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, and for reasonable business record-keeping, and then we delete it. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we are required to keep it by law.

Your rights and Canadian law

We operate under the laws of Ontario, Canada, and comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you, and you may withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing Louis@elevateyourbiz.ca. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
